Other names for this part are X1, XX1, etc.For conversion or replacement use. When converting from a splined cassette, you will also new XD need end caps, either for 12x142 or QR 135mm, let us know what you need, we can get them.
If you are buying this for replacement of a standard XD freehub, even if to convert from regular XD to this longer XD-R, you will use your existing axle end caps.
Do not use the rubber ring that is shown on the cassette area of this freehub. This rubber ring only retains the cassette spacer during shipping. When using 11 or 12 speed mountain cassettes, you will use the metal spacer behind the cassette. When using 12 speed road cassettes, remove the spacer
