This wheelset is hand-built in our store. We are planning on having them ready to ship ASAP, but there is always a chance of a short lead time. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions regarding this.
MSRP on the hubs are $129 front, $249 rear and $79 each rim. These parts were worth over $500 excluding spokes and nipples! This price on a hand-built wheelset is outrageous!
Ride Edge Rims:
Developed by bikers for bikers, the Edge Series is for real world riding.
Strong enough to withstand serious use, light enough to be at the front of the pack. With technologies carried over from the Trace Series, the Edge Series is up with the very best rims out there. The advantages offered by both series are wider rims to extract the maximum performance out of the tires. The offset of the spoke holes and the directional drilling makes a laced wheels not only stiffer and stronger, but will hold spoke tension much longer.

All great builds start with a solid foundation. The Novatec hubs are built to last. Tested on some of the toughest terrain the planet has to offer. Novatec hubs are assembled with quality materials to keep you on the trail longer.
Sapim Race Spokes:
Race is a very popular double butted spoke. Build up tension is easy. Much less torsion and not as elastic as the Laser spokes are the key points. The Race provides a better shock absorption thanks to a thinner middle section than the one of a non-butted spokes. Dealers say about this traditional spoke: "Never change a winning team..."
Sapim Brass Secure Lock Nipples:
The patented Secure Lock nipple of Sapim is a locking mechanism that prevents nipples from untightening.
The advantages of this easy locking system are:
- Can be used on truing machine
- No loose function while truing the wheel
- Available on most current Sapim nipples
- Easy to recognize
Highly precise and accurate punching machines are needed to form this type of locking system in order to achieve a stable and well defi ned deformation on the thread. Each nipple has an additional locking resistance of 18 +/- 3 cNm.
